CHRISTOPHER J. LINAS, ESQ
A seasoned appellate, family law, and criminal defense attorney with over 12 years of experience, Christopher J. Linas brings unparalleled dedication and a proven track record of success to Fourth Street Law, LLC.
“I’ve seen first hand how an erroneous court ruling, criminal charge, or mishandled child custody case can affect someone’s life,” Christopher shares. “My mission is to stand up for those wronged by the legal system and ensure that everyone gets a fair shot at justice”
Christopher’s approach combines meticulous preparation with passionate advocacy. In the appellate arena, Christopher has obtained reversals of numerous erroneous rulings by magistrates and judges in family law cases. He also successfully defends legitimate court rulings against meritless appeals brought by disgruntled losing parties. Christopher’s advocacy in Colorado’s highest court has set groundbreaking precedents. Christopher successfully litigated the Colorado Supreme Court case that sets the standard for when a court must grant an emergency hearing to restrict parenting time, as well as the case determining how people must be notified of contempt of court accusations against them. In criminal law, Christopher’s particularly known for his success in cases of falsely charged domestic violence, where his strategic defense has led to numerous dismissals. Christopher is just as passionate about representing genuine victims of domestic violence in seeking protection orders and child custody orders to protect themselves and their children.
“Each case is more than just a file on my desk,” Christopher emphasizes. “It’s someone’s life, their future. That responsibility drives me to give 110% every single time.”
His academic excellence at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where he graduated Order of St. Ives and served on the law review executive board, laid a strong foundation for his practice. Christopher’s experience ranges from winning his first jury trial as a law student to working on a high-profile capital case.
Clients consistently praise Christopher’s thorough approach and unwavering commitment. “Chris didn’t just defend me, he fought for me,” one client noted. “His dedication made all the difference in my case.”
When he’s not in the courtroom, Christopher enjoys hiking Colorado’s trails, snowshoeing in winter, and unwinding with a good book or movie. These pursuits help him maintain the balance and perspective that inform his empathetic approach to client representation.
At Fourth Street Law, Christopher combines his extensive legal knowledge, courtroom experience, and personal dedication to provide clients with robust, compassionate representation in appellate, family law, and criminal defense matters. His approach embodies the firm’s commitment to tailored, client-focused strategies that seek the best possible outcomes in high-stakes situations.
Christopher graduated Order of St. Ives from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2012. Prior to law school, Christopher earned his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Colorado.
